Frequently asked questions

Are the credit card numbers real?

No. They're randomly generated and only Luhn-valid, meaning they pass the checksum a form uses to validate a card's format. They are not real card numbers, correspond to no account, and can't be used for any transaction — they're for testing validation only.

Can I export the data?

Yes. Generate up to 100 records and download them as JSON or CSV, or copy the JSON. This makes it easy to seed a test database or bulk-fill a form during QA.

Is any of this data real?

No. Every name, address, email, and phone number is randomly assembled from generic sample lists and corresponds to no real person, so it's safe to use freely in testing.

About this tool

The fake name and test data generator creates realistic but entirely fictional identities — names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, and companies — for testing forms, databases, and QA. Generate up to 100 records at once and export them to JSON or CSV for developers. It also includes Luhn-valid test card numbers that pass a format check for testing validation logic, clearly labeled as non-real test data. Everything is generated in your browser; nothing is uploaded and none of it corresponds to real people.

Like most tools on UtilityBase, the fake name & test data generator runs entirely in your browser — nothing you enter is uploaded or stored on a server. It's free to use with no account required. Browse more generators here.
